What is Toyo PPP

 Research Center for PPP

 Asia PPP Institute

 Toyo University's PPP School is a two-year Master's degree course under Graduate School of Economics. It was established in 2006. More than 200 students from both public and private studied in PPP school.

Students can study and finish their degree in Japanese or English.
 Research Center for PPP was established under the PPP School in 2008. At the Research Center, we conduct various sponsored/commissioned researches, publish white paper and collected papers, and host PPP related events.

Graduates of the PPP School participate in researches as “Research Partners.”
 Asia PPP Institute was established in 2011 to extend our activities to Asian countries. The APPPI has conducted researches in the Philippines, Indonesia, and other Asian countries. The APPPI also held short-term capacity building seminars in many countries.

Graduate Program

 Curriculum
The Course of Public Private Partnership is the only Master's degree program in Japan that develops knowledge and skills necessary to realize a new public concept based on a deep understanding of the principles of behavior of both the public and private sectors.

 Credit Requirements for Master's Degree
  1.  Students must complete a minimum of 30 credits is required for graduation
  2. Students must enroll in his/her main rsearch advisor's seminar every semester
  3. Thesis or Research Paper with middle and final presentations and a final oral examination

All students must choose one main resarch advisor and one or two co-research advisor(s) for their thesis or research paper.

Course timetable and syllabuses (in Japanese/English) 

 Specialized courses
 Since the Class of 2013, each students can choose their speciality from "City Management," "PPP Bussiness," and "Global PPP." Each student's specialization will be stipulated on their diploma. Students are reommended to take courses from their specializations in order to strengthen their knowledge. However, students can take any classes of their choises despite their specilizations.

 Weekdays (Monday through Friday)
Classes are offered in the evening in Otemachi Satellite Campus. 
Class hours: 6:30-8:00 and 8:10-9:40 pm

Weekend (Saturday)
Classes are offered whole day in Hakusan Main Campus. 
Class hours: 9:00-10:30am, 10:40am-12:10pm, 1:00-2:30pm, 2:45-4:15pm, and 4:30-6:00pm

Admissions

 The entrance examination for the PPP School is provided only in Japanese. Those who wish to study in PPP School are required to have sufficient Japanese language proficiency in both oral communication and reading/writing. [As of April 2014]

 Tuition and Fees
  •  Entrance (Admission) Fee* -----270,000 yen
  • Tuition---------------------------600,000 yen
  • Facilities and Equipment Fees----300,000 yen

*The Entrance (Admission) Fee is due only in the first year.

Scholarships and Financial Aids 
  • Toyo University Category 1 Scholarship (scholarship for students with excellent academic performance)  ---300,000 JPY to a small number of enrollees
  • Tuition Exemption(for International students)------30% of tuition reimbursement

Japanese Government Scholarships and other privately funded scholarships are available for international students. We urge all students to investigate all options, including home country and/or coutry-of-residence scholarships/loans. For students from developing countries, aid agencies and/or multilateral development banks, such as JICA, ADB, World Bank etc., may offer some scholarship programs.
