Toyo University is the only graduate school in Japan that specializes in Public Private Partnership. Students from national/local governments, private companies and community sectors learn theory and best practices through lectures, share knowledge and values through seminars and discussions.

What is Toyo PPP
|

|
Toyo University's PPP School is a two-year Master's degree course under Graduate School of Economics. It was established in 2006. More than 200 students from both public and private studied in PPP school. Students can study and finish their degree in Japanese or English. |
Research Center for PPP was established under the PPP School in 2008. At the Research Center, we conduct various sponsored/commissioned researches, publish white paper and collected papers, and host PPP related events. Graduates of the PPP School participate in researches as “Research Partners.” |
Asia PPP Institute was established in 2011 to extend our activities to Asian countries. The APPPI has conducted researches in the Philippines, Indonesia, and other Asian countries. The APPPI also held short-term capacity building seminars in many countries. |
For prospective international students (Master's degree in PPP)
The Course of Public Private Partnership is the only Master's degree program in Japan that develops knowledge and skills necessary to realize a new public concept based on a deep understanding of the principles of behavior of both the public and private sectors. (Detail) | |
Credit Requirements for Master's Degree |
All students must choose one main research adviser and one or two co-research adviser(s) for their thesis or research paper. |

Specialized courses | Since the Class of 2013, each students can choose their specialty from "City Management," "PPP Business," and "Global PPP." Each student's specialization will be stipulated on their diploma. Students are recommended to take courses from their specializations in order to strengthen their knowledge. However, students can take any classes of their choices despite their specializations. (Detail) |

Scholarships and Financial Aids |
Japanese Government Scholarships and other privately funded scholarships are available for international students. We urge all students to investigate all options, including home country and/or country-of-residence scholarships/loans. For students from developing countries, aid agencies and/or multilateral development banks, such as JICA, ADB, World Bank etc., may offer some scholarship programs. |
