Toyo University was certified as the world's only Specialist Centre of Excellence on PPPs in Local Governments.

Toyo University was certified as the UNECE International Specialist Centre of Excellence on PPPs in Local Governments, which serves as one of the PPP centers that the UNECE PPP Secretariat promotes around the world. We are the world's only PPP center focused on local governments.

Studying at TOYO PPP School means becoming fully conversant in international standards relating to local government PPPs.

A place where people responsible for the development of their countries come together,exchange topics for discussion and conduct research.

 TOYO PPP School accepts ABE Initiative, Innovative Asia and other study abroad programs offered by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for young people in Asia and Africa to obtain a master's degree from a university in Japan.
 Under these programs, international students from various countries are enrolled every year.
 The School is a place where human resources responsible for the development of their home countries come together, bring agendas for discussion and conduct research.
 Students are networking on a global scale at TOYO PPP School.

Research Center for Public-Private Partnership

The Research Center for PPP is established under TOYO PPP School, and faculty members, graduate students and alumni of the School are engaged in research.
Through contracted research and joint projects from local governments and other institutions, we are supporting the public sector (central and local government), private sector (including private companies) and citizens (including NPOs, NGOs and autonomous organizations) in working together to solve local issues.
The Center is also returning the research achievements of PPP to society through hosting PPP Forum, issuing publications and other efforts.

Asia Public-Private Partnership Institute (APPPI)

The APPPI is established under TOYO PPP School, and faculty members, graduate students and alumni of the School are engaged in research.
Focusing on education/research and support for participation in the projects as two key pillars for the development and improvement of Asian countries, we are engaged in promotion and education of PPPs, the Regional Development Advisory Program (RDAP) and other efforts.

We are very honored to have Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, former Prime Minister of Malaysia; Dr. Masajuro Shiokawa, former Finance Minister of Japan and former Chancellor of Toyo University (deceased); and Dr. Yasuo Fukuda, former Prime Minister of Japan, as our Honorary Advisors.
